We are flagrant licking its ass
silence is so accurate
in the smile of the gold dragon;

His round innnards pumping out the artificial--
motor homes shuffle by the broken door
shiny against the blacktop
gleaming in the noonday sun.
Fix informs him of the latest abduction:
the guilty are framed and contained
and forgotten to make room for the next cycle.
The old dragon pants at the entrance to his lair,
mobiles hung by thin wires
reflect the shiny clothes of the glass puppet
with pink cheeks
hidden by a wad of soft chiffon paper.

I think the old dragon stuff is very good. Fix = Fox News. I'm quite sure.
the Truth is often pushed aside for the hologram. Easier to accept that pretty hologram.
I don't have any nits on this -- good social commentary. Modern.

The shattered..the tattered..the tired and sore...cracked and broken and patched shiny new with duct-tape and new bio-degradable coins as tokens of good conduct.
This country IS one big hologram and quite frankly...I think the laser is going to go bust quite soon - what with the ever increasing load of complete bullshit feeding the programming.
Puppets indeed...only the faces change. But we are the enthralled audience....who is the more puppet then?

A very original piece. I enjoyed reading it.

I think the demons come out after dark in most cities, crime and punishment go hand in hand but in most cases leniency always seems to fall to the perpetrator not the victim, I never get my head around that one, and in some cases the law is worse than the criminal.
