Followed into darkness
Always aware of my presence,
You artfully maneuver away
From me in the night,
Endless blackness
Pulls me deeper into
The maze of your existence.
Trembling, staggering,
Blindly reaching and
Calling out for you…
Your voice seductively
Beckons me onward,
As instinct and fear
Drive me to a halt.
Close enough to
Touch, close enough…
A whisper, a sigh,
I can feel you teasing
Me, tempting me, your
Promises shattering
My resistance into nothing
Hypnotic eyes hold
My gaze; they're yours,
But not yours at all…
And still I follow you,
The hunter who has
Sought out and captured
His prey…
Caught in this black
Night, I fall into
Deeper darkness as
You silently slip away.
Author notes
Kind of a story... I guess.

i'd really prefer this in stanzas which would make it easier to read and make it flow much better.
this was a good story, i enjoyed it.
the imagery is great
'Hypnotic eyes hold
My gaze; they're yours,
But not yours at all…'

i really liked that part. it was well written

I fall into
Deeper darkness as
You silently slip away.
