Age Of Innocence

"What are you laughing about,
tell me, tell me, Louise".
"I won't be your best friend,
come on, tell me pleeeease".

Such breathtaking innocence,
so pure , full with delight.
Never guarded by inhibition,
imagination always in flight.

Bright sunshine filled faces,
such inquisitive little heads.
Their laughter is contagious,
try to stop it as it spreads.

Oh the things kids will say,
not knowing wrong from right.
Wanting to be seen and heard,
all morning, noon and night.
