Cool take on the prompt.
Thank you for your entry,
Best of luck.

Your words run in a soft veil.
I love the doubly effective double meaning of "ground", the way it stands alone.
Best words.

Wow. This one is... mysterious.
Reminds me of a scene in "First Knight" when Richard Gere (Sir Lancelot) and Julia Ormond (Guinevere) were resting under a tree's canopy in the pouring rain after he rescued her.
Still, the word "neglected" seems so dark and empty. Gives this such a mysterious air.
Great job. Hope to see more from you!!!!
How are you? I've really missed your presence.

Wow, such a succinctly powerful and creative interpretation of the prompt, excellent!

-
ah, I would always see shelter and you would see neglect. Like I always tell people facts are facts but the truth is somewhere else.
Love, Tom B.
