    and living in Florida I can appreciate all that you shared. Very succinct and just as a sideline have you ever wondered where the birds hide out during storms? joy

    This is a lovely Haiku. When I hear loud "chirps" at night, i always think of crickets - but perhaps it's frogs? Or a chorus of both?

    Perfect! Such MOOD captured so succinctly.

    Excellently done. I also love the idea of evening being "burnt" or spent so much so that only the frogs retain their voice.
