      Hi, loper!

I was following the non-rhyming constraints
of haiku for the King's contest, so any
      rhyming was uncontrollable!!!

This is a very special collection of words and art,the colors and the theme blend together into a moving picture a pastiche of a person, a personality, and the things that seem to reflect a person's unique
thoughts and ideas...such a wonderful work of art for a very deserving person...PK

    Dear M-C,

    verdant quartet
    aptly illustrated
    with final gaze

Veggies are green, grass is too,
few are so clever, Aesthete, as you.
Will you be my Valentine on St. Patrick's day?

A stunning cinqueku. Well-written and with a splendid finale. Best of luck in the contest.

Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh (R.)

      Clever you are! Liking
      your description,
      quartet with final gaze.

      What an intriguing invitation!
      Clearly an exceptionally unique
      position to hold! Having no
Irish blood lines, I shall let
      my French ancestry aquiesce!!

Thank you, so much, kind Hugh!

You'll be the very first French girl whom I have taken on a whirl
although I feel compelled to say I mean just on Saint Patrick's day.
I remember in Champs Elysees, I let a girl once have her way
but that was during Bastille Day and I caught a fever from the hay.

Hah! That sounds like a scene from a black
and white movie, one that could be seen at
the Keystone Theater. All drama and innuendo,
              much to the imagination.

The night was black but she was white
                with everything that would excite.
As soon as she turned off the light,
her Ma came in - a real French fright!!

Hey! Sorry to mess up your page like this!

                  It's about "gazing"--looking deeply
                  to discern what lies beneath.

                  Your comment sets the scene,
                  French bistro, the Spy,
                  undercover action, WWII film.

It's that hypnotic eye in the top drawing. Draws out the mind!

wow, I love the "psychadelic" feeling about your recent art ... (for me, this word has a positive connotation) ... like luminous mantras floating in space, transforming, enlightening zones of darkness and knots of grief, dissolving heavy energies ... bestowing peace ...
the green-turquoise heart-throat-connection resonates very vividly here ...
a faithful "translation" of the "essence of mari"
    wonderful

      Yes, I understand the meaning
      you impart with that expression.

I think your spirit may have sent out
waves, for I was thinking of your calm
ways as I tried to interpret the spirit
      of the subject!

      After the drawings were completed
it was an adventure to develop them
      further to illustrate the words.

I was determined to find a way
to portray the glow, the charisma!

Ah, technology and the pen in union!!!

So nice to see your sweet face here, dear maa!

      Thank you!

Oh, I really like all the drawings and the last one in special, together with the last verse...
Means so much to be able to exchange thoughts while we are so far apart.
    Simply lovely, everything here!
And with your permission, I'll steal the last graphic.

You know, you are sooooooooo huggable! (pretend that word exists)

Mariza, the tall leafy grasses shown in the pic
are what were in my mind when I thought of the
shoots reaching to the clouds---in the drawing.

Actually these grew when the first bird feeder
tipped too easily, and spilled the seeds on the ground.
Now we have a sturdier model, but the birdies
have all these tall, protective grasses growing
up around their playground---their feeders, their birdbath! Great seeds!

Yes, it is a word in use, particularly
in commercial use for huggable products.
But if it weren't we could make it one,
      couldn't we?

I was happy with the ending, too.
And I am still playing with variations
of the last graphic. The word is reflected
back from the "sea," but a bit hard to
      see in the version shown.

Great inspiration from across the sea.
Reason to create some more for your file
so Yem doesn't get ahead of you!

      Glad you liked it!

this one is very interesting in fact that looks like the 3rd eye on your globe. The eye of wisdom... of higher consciousness gazing over the crops. Eminating life-giving energy of the sun.
    A new age dream perhaps.
    Gaze...and One Shall see!

      Thank you, Joan.

Yes, the glow! I was determined
to get it just right, the changeability
      of the subject, diversity.

With these the words came first,
      though usually it's the drawings
first, for they are the hardest.
I knew the art would take me a few
days, so I created the word concepts first.

      I appreciate your kind words.

Ah, our Gaze, our Ms Goes, our "IT" will all come together to appreciate your wise words.

    "eyes across the seas
    intimate thought exchange
    gaze in reverie"

That one not only defines the person but also our reactions to her poetry and of course to our interaction as friends, etc.

      Yes, a two-way sea,
      referring to the
      interaction...
      with the many faces
      on which to gaze.

Moxie is like air or freedom or justice, etc...an inalienable thing. A self-evident thing...it's always there no matter if I mention it or not...maybe that is the "flash" in my story...the truth of Moxie.

Now that is a striking concept! The flash--
an obsession, a political party affiliation,
a true love, a passion, Ghirardelli 60% cococa
dark chocolate chips, a startling new idea, Moxie.

Of course, Moxie surpasses the other items in
              the category!

For anyone reading, wondering about the flash, see Keystone Theater, newest entry.
