a journey of immeasurable pain,
lived, as each day brought
depth that was to be.
One year nearly gone –
marking the time, days,
begun by a morning without sun,
when Matthew left his mom.
One year of celebration –
preceded by newly found love,
when a son guided his mom
towards words, journeyed heart.
One year nearly gone –
this path with shredded peace,
as a mom yearned her son
now living with glorious Son.
One year of celebration –
one year nearly gone,
both milestones bathed
with memories of sad love.
One year nearly gone -
a prayer of unwanted journey;
one year of celebration -
memories of a journey penned.
Author notes
One year nearly gone - Matthew's passing into the arms of the Lord. One year of celebration - a journey begun inspired by Matthew, now to continue as we celebrate Kelle Merle's journey as friends with her - an honest open-hearted mother and person from whom we have derived much growth, because she allowed us these journeys - with her.

You are a precious and compassionate friend ...
and with beautiful words you stressed accurately this very sorrowful journey of loss. Simply divinely executed.

One year of celebration
preceded by newly found love,
when a son guided his mom
towards words, journeyed heart.
Oh yes my heart has poured out through my writings in which I didn't even know I had poetry in me. Maybe not the best but I hope to learn as I go. Thank you for writing for my one year contest and best of luck in the contest.
Wishing You Many Blessings Always
Much Love

Dear Kelle Marie
See it this way. None wrote to receive an award, and if we could, besides our poems, we would have send you hugs in gold. In fact, we did. Thank you for the HM, but most of all, thank you for allowing a wonderful friendship. I still remember the morning we made our first contact, and since then, a year now, we have had weekly contact. Many things are precious to me, but I mostly 'enjoy' that we communicate just as we are. I send you and your family my blessings. Frans -
Once again we are linked to you ...
beloved Poetess ... and via our friend, Frans, I too say:
One year of celebration –
preceded by newly found love,
when a son guided his mom
towards words, journeyed heart.
Love and peace to you, Kelle Marie.

Just lovely and a beautiful tribute to a mother with much strength and will to go on despite the hardship of her continued journey. I am sure she will adore this. Love, C
