This pain that resides within me
Came from your love
It tore me as a lion does a man.
It's been touching for months.
You crushed my heart
With all your disgust
Spat me in the face.
And left me bleeding
But I still love you
With more than my heart.
A mother loves a child.
Even though I'm dying.
The pain is unbearable
But from you
It's a blessing
Sent from the clouds.
Your hatred echoes
Inside my crippled body
But all I can hear
Is your angelic voice.
These scars on my heart
from your ruthless beatings
are reminders of your touch
and they'll never disappear
