Silence broken by
a frog's reverberation
off the sturdy trees

    Wonderful!

Beautifully penned. I loved the flow of it and the way it refers to natures beloved amphibian, the frog. I couldn't write a better piece if I tried. Thank you for sharing. mandie

I like your use of the word "reverberation "! It is almost onomatopoeic to the sound of the woodland echos!
But I really like the punch at the end where your little companion shakes oak and cedar!
