The other day I went to the candy shop
And bought myself some candy.
I bought some popcorn (pop pop)
And a lollipop so dandy.
I bought a hershey bar,
And a pack of gummy bears.
I bought a cookie shaped like a star
And another shaped like the moon.
Also, on my list, stuck inside my head,
Was a bag of hershey kisses,
And a loaf of bread.
You're probably wondering,
Where I could've gotten bread,
But you see, young reader,
All of that was in my head.
I hadn't gone to a candy shop,
And bought lots of candy.
I'm just at the local marketplace,
And its food supply comes in handy.
But I did get some sweets,
One hershey kiss to be exact.
But as I bit into the sweet chocolate,
I didn't mind being here, and that's a fact.

Adorable! I love that you wrote it for younger kids, in the hope of inspiring them to reach for their dreams and use their imagination. All of it rhymed so well, except you reversed the rhyme in this stanza:
I bought a hershey bar,
And a pack of gummy bears.
I bought a cookie shaped like a star
And another shaped like the moon.
So instead of rhyming the second and fourth lines, like all the other stanzas, you rhymed the first and third. That's okay, though. Poems don't always have to be perfect
Anyway, I very much enjoyed reading this, and I'm sure the younger poets on here did, too
