Stalking me with fearful gait
paranoia wraps its tentacles
of vicious mindless strength
around my mind and squeezes.
Underlying worries and fears
ooze onto the pavement
and I stand and gaze at them,
watching them twist and transform.
Small ones morph into giants
as their larger relatives
split and become countless more
and set down immovable roots.
Imagination plays no role
in this ongoing reality show
that is my life on the big screen
where there are no heroes...
only villains.

GO PINK!
Yeah, go paranoia 'cause we all have it stalking us.
I like what you did here and you speak for me, too.

Really fine free verse on a compelling topic!
Paranoia is everywhere and with good reason... the world is fractured.
Reading down the lines of your poem makes me feel like I am right there in the place you describe.

FINE WRITING!
