You and I, Dear, we have a love,
or had a love, at least that is true.
You held me near, we wrote of love
in the sand words that said, "I Love You".
That love has faded, ebbed away,
and now I am no longer your man.
Now love is jaded, gone to stay.
washed away like letters in the sand.
