Exposed am I
In a dark dank street,
Spinning around
With dyslexic feelings,
Unknowns, massage my innards
An unclear confusion
Apprehension clearly calls.
A fleeting glimpse
Of a special warmth
Dangles perched,
Elusive unsure,
Saying much with a silence
The unfathomable expression.
The illusion of contentment
Taunts gleeful with a song,
Ribald indecision
Selflessly claims the blame.
Lost am I in this world
Without clarity,
Peering within from outside
Nose pressed to the window,
My hesitant inept breath seeks solace
Merely concealing the stunning view.

Wow. That was absolutely incredible, dad. Where have you been? I haven't seen you around in a while. Hope all is well.

Write on.

The poem fits nicely with the picture you used.
I like the stark brevity of your writing.

Boy a raw harsh reality wake up call you have etched here!
Powerful words lost in thought that reaps in each stanza
Wish you all the best in the contest
