This place we call earth,
puts forth beauty for all its worth.
Whispers written within the flowers and lush green trees,
so speaks daily to you and me.
"I love you"
Time never stands still and what have we done,
cut and removed the lush trees and built skyscrapers shading the sun.
Built cemment highways and stripped the land for one day to sell,
making our world look like hell.
"Why dont they love me"
Why dont they love me what have I done,
to make them destroy me in such a way leaving my beauty all undone.
Lost now in a land of those uncaring souls.
complaining and yet after they destroy they find other places to go.
"Hear my cries "
When all the trees are stripped away,
and the waters so paluted and stale.
The winds will crush this land in horendous gales.
Time of our destruction shall be returned ten fold,
in a land filled with garbage and looking grey and cold.
"Time for renewal"
I see within our childrens eyes,
the final question why!
Why do we stay locked inside why cant we play,
and in the questions holding their arms out like broken wings today.
"Ask the child and you shall see"
In asking the child what should we as adults do,
they will be glad to show you the beauty you once knew.
Bring life back to the planet and replant its love,
and teach the adults careing is more than enough.
"Know it's true it's all in what we decide to do"
Stop buying junk from foreign countries and build good stuff right here,
Things that lasts and can be of use year to year.
Make each town beautiful with flowers and trees where beauty is seen,
Make our world the living dream.
Not only see the I love you of the land,
but walk with our planet hand in hand.
puts forth beauty for all its worth.
Whispers written within the flowers and lush green trees,
so speaks daily to you and me.

Author notes
I read the rules
Let the children of our world show us the way where it will be a world where all children have places to play safe places and upon that day you shall see even us adults will find the childhood we had once seen and was so free it is up to you and me

Wonderful poem!!! I loved this part:
"This place we call earth,
puts forth beauty for all its worth.
Whispers written within the flowers and lush green trees,

Beautiful write. Love the rhyming and the way you worded this, but even more the message. Love this statement from your author note:
Let the children of our world show us the way where it will be a world where all children have places to play safe places and upon that day you shall see even us adults will find the childhood we had once seen and was so free it is up to you and me.
Beautiful!! Best of luck in the contest.
