It's hard to find a true good friend,
Who will always have your back.
A person you know you can depend
That your friendship, he wouldn't slack.
Once you find it, don't let it go,
For true friendship comes once in a while.
But truest of friendship when in time you bestow
Will be even more worthwhile.
Not only through life's trials and hardship
That you'll know your true friends,
But also in rejoicing and in fellowship.
They'll stay with you through the change of trends.
Though it's sometimes hard to know
If a friend is true or not.
Know that in the end the truth will show
If that's real friendship you got.
Even if time would pass by fast,
And some friends are lost or gone.
Know that true friendship will always last,
Even if a lifetime is now the foregone.
The most valuable thing that you could own
Is the love of a good friend.
From the longest of time, the friendship is grown,
And will never cease till the end.

a welcomed write showing the strengths of true friendship grown standing by ones side through joy and sadness, compassion and disdain and through it all they are there for you when your hope is lost in wonder. This in some ways makes me think of the saying friends come into our lives for a moment, season, lifetime - thank you for entering and sharing in my celebration, many blessings always xxx
