The opium den was sweltering
Sweat stung eyes while in the corner I rock
Time melting away
Along with the hands of the clock
Having trouble deciphering
what is real and what is not
Take another puff...
Shoot another shot
Across the room
Young maiden begins to dance and paraquet
She beseeches the crowd
a mirror would be well met
A strapping lad produces one from air
One just her size
I think his name is Peter,or Jack...
Trouble focusing my eyes
What is she staring at so?
Could that really be a talking book?
Questioning my sanity
I shake my head and have another look
But it's no use...I'm too far gone
and to add to my fears
Just at the moment I'm ready to pass out,
someone mentions kissing a rabbit between the ears?!
