Screaming the lesson of Ouroboros

Death of individual freedom comes in little stifled silences,
chase all of us through the dark,
sitting on Earth with my mind in the infinite stars,
my hope rests upon,
the feeling that we are not all going to fall into,
the incorporation of humanity,
into an amalgam that exists for the shareholders,
with no priority higher than their bottom dollar.

It only takes one or two,
of us,
to infiltrate the madness,
we are not a willing part of.

Corporations are right now deciding how they will split up all the resources of humanity.

Their power derives from imaginary edicts passed down from past members,
in their own best interest.

Corporations exist now by the mandate they were created from.
When a company came to have the rights of a human being,
to protect the human being behind the company from the uncomfortable litigious greed of other humans....
suddenly,
a 100 people can challenge the resources of one person,
as if they could be on equal ground.

The need to present your case is no longer a proper criteria,
you just need the resources to wear down your victim.

In 1945 FDR signed off on the death of individuality.

Corporations now own America.
As Americans we could collectively do something...
but we sit back in our lazy chairs after a hard days work and just want to watch the mindless soothing TV.

We are restricted from accessing the media through creative regulations,
and cansorship.
Amazing how this little bit of technology,
has gone such a long way.

I'm here, just a little voice with a bit of poetry to remind you,
the water, the air, thoughts and feelings, are yours.

Ownership is a wonderful myth that attracted the masses so much,
it has taken over all sensible decisions and reasonable rationality.

You're buying clean water today,
some day you'll be buying clean air.

These things are ruined by the very corporations who are selling you what is already yours.

It isn't going to get any better.

The more they destroy the natural resources the more they can make potable,
and sell back to you for a fee.

It's so obvious.

I'm powerless to stop it.
I guess I can tell the truth about it though.

How ridiculous would it be to have your existence negated because you're violating a patent? How long before we are seeds owned by companies? Better fucking buy some stock now in biometrics.

An interesting premise explored by Michael Crichton in his novel, "Next"....vis a vis patents versus one's individual existence. Frankly the novel wasn't his best, but it does raise interesting points.

One does indeed feel powerless to combat the Corporation - tied as they are to the Government (the original intent of representation of the citizens...long lost). All things, however, bow to entropy in the end and the cycle shall begin again. Rome is dead...long live Rome.

    food for the soul

as always, a thought provoking piece. It was interesting how in the beginning you say it takes only one of two to change things and you end it with I'm powerless to stop it. I just hope if there is a One that could stop it, that he or she isn't thinking the same thing. I always appreciate the truth and depth of your poetry. Never let down there.
    Peace &

Good point. I missed that one entirely. Thanks for reading and commenting, and bringing my attention to an important contradiction I missed.

write all you need to say, but remember: we have no final say. Neither they. God has.
