Where’s he at,
that silly cat.
I called him twice,
and he still sat.
Not in the kitchen,
or in the den.
I waited a minute,
then called him again.
Not in the attic,
or on the bed.
I kept calling,
then scratched my head.
Here kitty-kitty,
then hey you cat.
But I heard nothing,
and wouldn’t settle for that.
I went to the kitchen,
to get some treats
When I looked down,
he was at my feets.
I gave him two,
then three then four.
I bent over to pet him,
he was there no more.
Where on earth,
did that cat go.
I looked all over,
and still didn’t know.
I said now I am mad you,
you just love me.
And all of a sudden,
he was on my knee.
You silly cat,
where do you go.
He looked and said,
wouldn’t you like to know.

I rather enjoyed this greatly. Captured the secrective nature of the cat. The confusion of trying to figure one of them out. Great job!

This is soooo cute. Wonderful job. I wrote a short trilogy of poems called Damn Kitty. I see your cat was much better behaved then mine. LOL Good luck in the contest. God Bless
