While waiting for the bus of life,
I chanced upon this place;
nestled in the simpler plain
betwixt wrought iron and lace.
It spoke of commonality
and the warmth of fellow man;
a place where guys could talk about
important stuff with great elan.
Such places are not openly
available today;
PC is the language now
and causes thoughts to stray
into places misunderstood
where people fear to tread;
it seems that individuality
is a person now near dead.
Still, if you desire to chance a search
while stepping from the bus,
you can find the hidden places
pausing from the rush.
Just look for those who still can think
and know of what they speak,
you will find your niche in life
once your interest has been peaked.

How true that we have slipped away from each other in the person, and become only electronic blips on a window that looks out on the world, but seldom into the souls behind it.
Sadly many of these tiny ma and pop places are vanishing and we may not have such chances to rub elbows with humanity as much as we used to. Thank you for your entry.~~Artis

I love where you went with this. It does get harder, and harder these days to just connect one on one.

Wonderful Write!
Brilliant!
A great way to describe our world shying away from individuality..
"it seems that individuality
is a person now near dead."
so true, everyone is conforming to technology and hardly ever has a decent "Face-to-face" conversation anymore.
God Bless,

Thank you. I appreciate your reading and commenting.
While it is true that the line you quote can be read that way, I intended it to be a dig on the "political correctness" that is so prevalent in our society today. But, either way, it is still true.
