"Hamburgers--world's best", a modest little claim,
probably seen in every town from Texas up to Maine.
But in early morning New Orleans I'm ready to believe
that the Clover Grill on Bourbon Street ain't tryin' to deceive.
'Cos it sure smells good and the place is clean--
I just love the sound of the coffee machine.
Now Creole cookin's mighty fine, but what I'm tellin' you
is that when you're in the Clover Grill, only a burger will do!

Hey, I liked your poem and maybe next time I will go in and try the fare, rather then just taking a picture of the menu saw in the photo.
It called to me in my walk at dusk through the big easy, Like some 1950's painting that had yet to be captured, a warm glow in a city still feeling the chill of Katrina I thank you for your entry.~~Artis

My daughter told me just the other day that I should open a burger place. With all the short orders around here, I thought I already had. I don't know who invented a hamburger, but we enjoy them often...today, blue back is on the menu, and creole cookins' sounds good, too.
