With youthful braggadocio I started to make plans
My humble intention was to found a Jazz band
Ominous feelings running through my head
Looked in my pockets realized I had no bread
Playing the xylophone that’s not really cool
Freddy played sticks but he was a tool
Walked around wearing zebra skin boots
Animal lovers hated him I thought he was a hoot
Moving right along Melanie could sing lead
Looks like the dead, and smokes a lot of weed
She wears a daisy in her hair and has violet eyes
But, she’s not too fussy and has very little pride
I am not to comfortable with the next choice
Though I’m told he too has a really nice voice
He sashays around biting off chicken heads
Maybe, but I think he’s running from the feds
I won’t quibble over every little detail
But desire no imminent danger of going to jail
They’ll think I’m tough but I'll do what’s right
I think I’ll eat an apple and call it a night
Tomorrow things might look better in the sun light
