Have you ever heard of a mouse that can dance, ballet, jazz or tap?
Well I happen upon chance, to know this jolly furry chap.
His dreams are of performing on a spotlit Broadway stage,
He likes to think he's warming to be the wonder of his age,
He'd love to make his grand entry, tip-tapping to Big Band scores,
And the critics would be complimentary of his talented swinging toes.
He wears a top hat that's tall, and always dresses smart,
I've never seen him fall, or trip, or stumble apart.
His fur is white and always clean, he wears a jet black waist coat,
He knows every musical routine, step-for-step, note-for-note.
"My dreams,"I've heard him saying, "Is for people to advance,
To the theater, and paying, to see the great Frank dance!"
But his dreams, I'm afraid, hold but one defect,
For in the theater trade, four inches in height is just not perfect,
For Frank has only tiny limbs, and is only very small,
The audience will fail to see him, at the back of the concert hall.
So his dream is just a dream, a very distant hope,
Like sailing upstream, or climbing a very, very steep slope.
