i was listening to a song today
deep thinking about the lyrics
(i get that way)
it made me realize
what out loud i wanted to say
you dear lady are my friend
i'm at your disposal
when you need an ear
i'll lend
i'll say this once more
you are my friend
i'm here to support you
time and again
the suggestive sway
in the melody of these words
made me think of you
your generosity
sent chills down my spine
to think of someone being so kind
especially a friendly stranger
makes it not so strange
because beyond this screen
is a beam of light
that shines and says
love is the bigger picture
even when the flash is almost unseen
that's just it
i get what you mean
sometimes you don't the know what you gleam
to find one such as you to be a guide
touches my heart
it's warm in inside
you've been giving of your heart
to people i see
God's angel on earth
so happy to meet thee
