bitch's brew

Missing image

A beautiful scream she gave in bed
Led creativity run in his head
Nude she played just as the note
That Miles Davis once thought and wrote
Then his pipe she held and mew
Orgasmic music through it she blew
As the cigarette almost done
Gently she lit another one
Placed it on his lips to calm his brain
Cause wild he is turning, completely insane
In bottles of wine he seek a drop
Since the night wont seem to stop
She lay down on her back
Offering her vagina as a snack
He sipped some Jack and blew his smoke
Opened her thighs, with tongue he stroke
He inhaled perfumed pink
And on her flesh spread his ink
He wrote in white she mixed with red
Poetry gave life to the dead
It’s a reality that miles always knew
Wrote it with music titled bitch's Brew…

(In memory of MILES DAVIS)

    Hi G.b.d,
A most interesting tribute to Miles Davis. Your poem led me to wonder if Davis had a tendency towards misogyny? In this poem you portray the woman as being Davis' slave. I do gather that in his musical brillance he was personally quite self-centered and spoilt in his attitude. Maybe this is a fitting tribute - a good understanding of a dimension of this musical genius.

this was an excellent read. i enjoyed it. the metaphors gave life to the piece. the imagery that was created from such simple words added a complex feel to a well organized piece. the miles davis tridute just added more flare to a well designed piece.

    return the favor!

a good mix of metaphores and realism, you have said it how it is not sugar coated and thats what I like about this poem. A very apt dedication to Miles Davis.... didn't know what to expect from the title but was plesantly surprised

    for more info:
Miles Davis gave the name Bitch's Brew to one of his albums so thats why i called it Bitch's Brew dew to him...

I would probably be offended by calling it bitch's brew, however, this is a good poem, worded in such a way that the imagery and atmosphere roll off the reader. I admit I have not listened to Miles Davis or if I have I didnt know it was him, but I find that their is a very strong personality expressed in this work.
Beautiful in a rough and gritty way.
    Best wishes to you.
