Sometimes the young we forget
to tell the blue rules of regret.
I'd want to know at age thirteen
that my color was tangerine.
13 thru 17 were the minor teens
then orange until after nineteen
shades of purple are all in twenty
color blue begins at age thirty.
Shades of red, 13 thru 29 rock
then it's in blue thru gray you walk
Those over the blue, so it appears
agree early reds are best colored years.
Shades of red are like sunset clouds
brilliance of natures color shrouds
except for skies, no blues or greens
are part of youths heavenly colored schemes.
Beauty and colors in dark of night
without our Lords guiding light
are not so easy to see just right
keep God's colors and light, within your sight.
I'll wish I was tangerine
at age thirteen.

This Is Precious
What a fun and creative poem for Nikki. I know she will love this poem. Such a colorful write LOL... I mean in a really neat way. Oh so true and so heartfelt your poem is for encouraging a young struggling teen and I thank you for that.
