Ridiculed by peers for too long
suppressed past the breaking point
his voice will resonate for all to hear
haunting his oppressors until the end of days
Painting portraits of towering summits
crowned above all else
golden rays of warmth
arms stretched out in worship
while beneath the fallen lie in crimson seas
Nonexistent in his daddy’s eyes
an unworthy inconvenience to mommy
left alone to reign his empire of sinister vengeance
a provoked ravenous lion
craving attention and acceptance
only to be wounded with malicious mockery
released onto a destructive path fueled by rage
gnashing his teeth at those who dare to get close
The damage has been done
this slate cannot be wiped clean
a spirit that has been broken beyond any repair

If this poem represents your own reality, I'm sorry. I once felt like I could relate to poetry like this, but really, I can't. I applaud you for putting things like this into words - I'm sure it's a help to others who feel that they are alone. Good job!
