so you talk.
and I listen.
i hate you when you talk,
but I hate me more
for listening.
I put up a curtain
to block you out.
but your words cut
through the flimsy seams.
the shreds lie at my feet.
i hold my tears back.
I try again.
this time I put up a door.
to lock your spiteful face away.
but you break it down and in the process
you break down my defenses.
i don’t give up just yet.
I put up a brick wall of complete silence.
you shout. You scream. You Curse.
but I can’t hear you.
i refuse to anyway.
So you used to talk
and I used to listen.
you try to knock down my wall.
but you end up hurting yourself.
You curl up into a ball of insanity and failure
but I am Oblivious to your plight.
you are Like Saturn my ring of hate surrounds you,
make a false move and you will be engulfed by it.

I like the imagery in this one...the different barriers you put up. A lot of times it's difficult to block someone out...it's not so easy to build that brick wall when they're continuously trying to break it down.
Great job, good luck in the contest!
