Upon the lips of fall

Caillech drifted in euphony,

                                                                   kissing Okeanos.

                                                                   As butterflies landed

                                                                   the sun softly upon

                                                                                             your lips...

Caillech (Scottish, Irish, Welsh) - Goddess of Weather, Earth, Sky, Seasons, Moon and Sun

OKEANOS (or Oceanus he was sometimes called) was the Titan god or Protogenos (primeval deity) of the great earth-encircling river Okeanos, the font of all the earth's fresh-water: including rivers, wells, springs and rain-clouds. Okeanos was also the god who regulated the rising and setting of the heavenly bodies which were believed to emerge and descend into his watery realm at the ends of the earth.

    Thank You!!

Thank You for Your entry: Upon the lips of fall
This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I do several times~ Images come to me in many forms~ while taking in Your words: drifted in euphony- Nowwwwww this is just what I am getting- when I first opened up Your verse- I felt the energy just jump off the page- and when I read the first line I was directed to the word: kissing- then the Deity Okeanos (Oceanus)- the immediate image that came to me was - Caillech as if yanked away from this male Deity- by his consort Tethys- for a moment I had to pause because it was like I was witnessing a taboo- if that makes sense- I did not see them kissing- I'll try to explain without sounding like I'm babbling- I totally see how You brought forth both Deities- they each have unique abilities- with respectable qualities- overseers of pertinent properties- It would do no justice if I did not reveal what I received when I first opened to read and afterwards upon images revealing- Okeanos (Oceanus) consort- in a polite but very stern way- I kept feeling was mortified as I am being shown with another female Deity (unqualified) I am being given- it is like mother of his children rolling up sleeves to defend Honor of what they created and if energy could rise like a tsunami and come through the screen- it almost did -I changed several shades-my blood ran cold from the energy that lashed out my way- Language barrier- kept me from hearing; getting cursed out in reference to Mortal audacity- Again I imagine You would want to know what I received- and why-how etc- only fair and I see how You brought forth both Deities- it is understandable- Okeanos (Oceanus) just happened to already have a consort- I will not say what was written was right or wrong- So please not be discouraged but encouraged by my words- I just pass on what images - energy that comes through- However this to be interpreted Whether metaphor or symbolism
    Hopefully this makes some sense~
Excellent take on the prompt ~
Powerful images & message You have brought forth

Best wishes to You in the contest Sweet Soul
