Freak Show Bob stands by the side of the road
Watching how all the dull pennies quietly add to his load.
For the passers-by stop to stare
at the one side of his face
which is just no longer there.
He bends down slowly
to pick up his cash
and wonders if this time
he will have enough for his usual stash.
For then the feelings will run
down through all of the lines and
what once was a frown turns
him into a clown.
Laughing and crying.
Whirling all around.
Crazy lights flashing
and a million happy sounds.
Dancing around like a disc on a spoke
- the one side normal
and the other a joke.

Haha hilarious!
Great effort for your first silly poem
I like the description,, very detailed.
And a great story too.
In line 5, the word 'just' interupted the rhythm for me, but that was probably just me being silly and not reading it properly
Great poem

Maybe your first but a very interesting approach to the dual aspects of certain situations. The clown is a good way to create a foundation which the whole contradiction of this poem expands on. Very clever
