i remember days gone by,
to think back now i wonder why,
i ever let you walk away,
when i only wanted you to stay!
i used to watch you,
secretly,
and in my mind you belonged to me,
your head was always in a book,
and so you never saw me look,
but i would watch,
the way you moved,
and how you could light up a room,
and all those little things you do,
that only could be done by you!
i belonged to someone then,
but you had always been my friend,
and you were there when times got hard,
and i found safety in your arms.
times changed,
we watched love fall apart,
but you were there,
to mend my heart,
when all my world came crashing down,
you picked me up,
without a sound.
now those days are at an end,
but you will always be my friend,
through thick or thin,
in right or wrong,
i need you here,
where you belong.
look in my eyes,
you know its true,
this heart of mine,
belongs to you,
i know you love me, like a brother,
maybe that love cant be another,
but whatever you decide to do,
my heart, my soul, belong to you
