Doherty for bad Poetry

read solemnly with a straight face

oh to write bad poetry
just ask doherty
doherty writes bad poetry
yes bad poetry

read with a pleading, intense voice

teach me doherty
to write bad poetry
oh doherty! doherty!
I want bad poetry

read with a victorious, cheer leader tone

doherty for bad poetry
yay! doherty
yay! poetry
doherty yes doherty

read in a subdued, dramatic linger

doherty
for bad poetry

Author notes

It is difficult to write bad poetry ... Only gifted poets can. GRIN like wibro ... I shall delete this poem later ... I giggled while writing this. I hope there is no doherty on this website! Hahahahahaha

The reading directions really add to the effect-- very dramatic -- I think you forgot the clasped hands- you've made it to the finalists list.
    Thank you for entering. -Glass

Thank you for enjoying my poem and for the special mention!

I guess it could be performed onstage yes -- I wrote it while I saw everly line being mimed!

I am so glad to hear of your new baby -- may you enjoy each little moment -- but I am sad to learn of the complications. Please know I think of you in prayer.

Thank you for adding me as a favorite, too.

      Love
      Myra

yes, don't delete... BUT, a grave, no, minor technical error- that Irish guy, Doherty- welllllllellellellellll... it, at least every time I've mangled it, is pronounced "Dockerty"! (I may be wrong, but such things have bitten me many-a-time, lassie...!)

for your poetic plea made me smile and 'tis better than feeling sad, oh please don't lay the ode to doherty to rest for then his poetry may become john doe etree and after all this is written in jest
