Angels saving all their lives
But guarding from their rapture,
Keeping them well on Hellish Earth
When all they want is Heaven.
They look around and see the world,
Fear and hate and pain surround.
They're desperate to leave the wicked ways,
But angels keep them "safe."
Screams protrude into frozen dreams
And chilly night air takes over.
Who would want to save a life
And banish them to the winter?
Another freezing night goes by
As turmoil destroys more lives.
In instances of certain death,
Their suicides are painless.
But still angels keep on saving lives
While guarding from their rapture.
Banishing them to Hell on Earth
When all they want is Heaven.

this has a lovely balance between terror and mercy
Screams protrude into frozen dreams
thats so vivid!
this is deep in the feelings of hopelessness and having faith even when its overwhelmed by thoughts of suicide that angels dont stop believing in us even when we stop believing in ourselfs.
