I'm hiding 'neath my lace parasol
Built for who-knows-what
For some reason, never stained
Just letting the rain massage skin--
Maybe that's the purpose--
But the only one
'Cause lace parasols just don't help
When the hailstones fall
Tap dancing on the graffiti-filled sidewalk
Snow bees stinging face and neck.
Neither do they block the blizzards
Barely covering my head
Letting cold winds mock me
As snow is thrown in my face
Unprotected and vulnerable.
I'm looking for somewhere they sell umbrellas
But I can't find one
So I stroll on the railings
With something that won't even be able
To grab onto a ledge if I fall
Hiding behind me
Because you know how easily pink fades.
Author notes
OK, this may seem vague and random... but, can anyone guess the symbolism? I'll understand if I'm DQ's, this is how I feel though.

your imagery is INTENSE!
I really enjoyed this,
and I like how you based it around the picture.
it wasn't vague or random!
