come home, what not,
to make away
from work and toil
from heat of day
unannounced arrival
to find in bed
the pair of you
what thoughts ahead
around the corner
(together, alas)
falcon and a chickadee
one nest of grass
yet, to understand
the sum of this
so volatile
in my summer bliss
would be as such:
you are not mine
tight lips saying
I am not fine
Author notes
Take from prompt: "You're not" = "You're not mine"
I went with it, hope it meets specified expectations (and overcomes them?)

sweet?... wasn't exactly the word I'd put to this. I thought it was more sad.
