For years a man put faith in dreams,
To better himself for her.
To try to discover what emotions love brings.
And for so long things where not sure,
Not on solid ground.
Chests hallow long before regret set in for sin.
Cheating for attention,
Deceiving for acceptance.
Nothing left scared any more.
The man turns his back on her
After years of deception,
left bitter and fragile by state of mind.
Standing at a cross roads,
trying to decide how to go forward.
How should he carry on,
Looking to the future never did him any good.
So with her gone, he stood, ready fro the next step.
His path not set, his soul free.
Nothing left of love but a gentle memory,
To carry his emotions to his next lover.
yes i know its a quote but its my take on it.

Very Impressive nicely done. My favorite part is To carry his emotions to his next lover that is great... I have once loved someone so much that all thats left know is just a memory.. I got teary eyed reading this.. The title really made the poem stand out I like it alot.
