Though years have passed since then?
For lest you're blind, it's plain to see
I won't love you again.
Oh must you be obsessed with me
Despite my moving on?
I thought you said you set me free...
I thought that you were gone.
Oh must you be obsessed with me
And view me with such spite
When deep inside, you know you lied,
And know that I was right!
Author notes
Oh, when I was in love with you
OH, when I was in love with you,
Then I was clean and brave,
And miles around the wonder grew
How well did I behave.
And now the fancy passes by,
And nothing will remain,
And miles around they ’ll say that I
Am quite myself again.

Perfect! Well written, rhyme and meter as always are seemless from begining to end. Very well worded and expressive. I can hear a certain amount of boredom and tedium in your words, as if you can't be bothered with this obsession. Overall a wonderful read that compliments the poem by A.E Housman if not overshadows it a little...
