You speak of 'Her'
All the time
And every time it makes me realize
How far I am from 'Her'
And all that you desire...
When you find 'Her' though
I will envy 'Her', but I will be happy
For you'll be happy to..
And your scars can be healed
Even if the soothing touch isn't mine
So no matter how far you search.. I'll help
Even if 'Her' shatters my heart a bit more
But I'll not tell you so the guilt won't be yours
This is my shame to carry no matter how large the load
You speak of 'Her'
All the time... I hope that she is all you want
And all that you need, so I can smile
And be happy of the thought of you having your dream
If you ask I'll drop everything...
Everything and go on the hunt to find 'Her'
To carry her back on a pedestal
To sit before you...
I'll be behind you pushing so you can embrace
Embrace with 'Her'
Maybe then the world will be right for once
No matter if my heart is broken and shattered
Those fifty years of happiness for you
Will be my destiny
I'll make it so, make it so you can look back
A smile on your aged face, and remember everything
The way 'Her' hair smelt the way 'Her' voice sounded
Your children’s first words, the way your daughter
Has 'Her' eyes and your son has 'Her' nose
When it times for you to go
I'll be there to hold 'Her' hand if you go before her
And if she goes before you
I'll be there to hold you as you cry and mourn 'Her'
The photo albums I'll carry out so you can see 'Her'
Young and beautiful, I’ll put in the movies
Of birthday parties and anniversaries with 'her'
It will make me sad to see you mourn
Sad to see you go on for however long with out 'Her'
But I wish you all the best with 'Her'

great poem doll. been through this too many times of my own. i have even changed who i was trying to be "her" loved it. it is something we all go through at a certian time.
