Flickering flames feed the burning
Acrid smells of a bustling citadel
Interrupted by the fluidity of faith
Lured into by the scents if freesom
Urgency replaced by the wisdom of rebellion
Radical thoughts of individuality calmed
Evanescent smoke swirling unbidden in beauty
Ingrained in the most unimaginable way
Sacrificial lambs are we all at the dusk
Never-ending 'purity' broken by the blue-tinged
Opalescent smoke in arabesque dances in light
Tentative to bold in a rainbow colored bruise
Evil laughs derisively but now is scarcely heard
Victims fallen now rise again in the suns' wake
East gives way to the tired as the meek rise up
Ridiculed cards forseeing a future with ease
Avalanches of thise drawn to the sight
Nighttime will bow in awe to the tantalizing aroma
Overtly the beauty is disguised in the fire
Put forth the sticks marked with lustful vengeance
Terrified to continue until death, but to stop
Intense rationality has no place here in the grey
Obtained only are the stark blacks and whites
Negligent will pay in the soectral vortex of evaportaing smoke.
