And you may step out, at the Son of Man's command.
Walk to him on water, keeping faith so you'll be strong
Walking on until you have walked your whole life long.
When sins had fouled the earth and overtook the souls
Of people who resided, always void of dreams or goals,
And Satan held the whip, the fallen angel puppeteer,
Jesus took the wheel and proceeded, then, to steer.
Bearers of great meaning were his words until this day
As he spoke of truth and wisdom and of the only Way
His love was spread to others, who also spread the news,
Which brought on the mobs, and forced them to choose.
Jesus is the Prince of Peace, the Messiah, Son of Man,
Who nestled in the web of the Lord's eternal plan,
Whose mercy healed the sick and dead and blind and lame
Like sheep they ran to Jesus, to Him they all came.
When the misled crowds paid Judas gold to Jesus betray
Jesus, on the cross, kept faith and sought to pray
Nails pierced flesh, promise made to Dismas, leavened,
Believe in him, with him you'll stay, to live a life in heaven.
Author notes
I hope the rhyme doesn't seem forced. Faith in God is important-- without it, we are blind, stumbling in the darkness, groping for a light switch we never reach. But it turns out we have simply been closing our eye to the light, which is all around us. God will guide you. He and His Son cry for us when we sin, or are hurt or lost. But we must pull ourselves back. Doubts abound even in pastors or ministers, but they continue to keep the faith. I hope you will too.

I thought it ryhmed wonderfully. I'll definitely be rereading this one a few more times before I judge. Nicely done.
