The Conversation

Hello dear friend.It's been awhile
The years have come and gone
I feel I've been in darkness and
just now can see the dawn
There's been a lot of tough times and
I've cried too many tears
Though times I smile remembering,
I've missed you all these years
Samantha's getting taller and
my mom is doing well
Marie is now a mother. There
is so much news to tell
Young Lily got her braces off
in time for the spring dance
Already three young men have called
with hopes they have a chance
My Daddy's now not far from you
He finally got his wish
Last time we got together he
showed Timmy how to fish
But these are not the reasons why
I came to you today
Through all the secrects that we've shared
There's one I couldn't say
I've loved you more than anyone
Perhaps you always knew
And I have often wondered if
you may have loved me too
I realize that I'm too late
but still I had to say
I'll lay these flowers by your stone
and then be on my way

Author notes

This is completely fictional. It was just something that came to mind one day. Still, I hope you enjoyed.

You wrote a great story, very sweet and relatable. You have one typo, sping instead of spring. Awesome write!

I liked it alot and I particularly loved the flow of the piece. I thought even though it was fictional you told a very convincing story, it has reminded that I must visit a loved one and catch them up on all my news so I could certainly relate. I liked the feeling that you put in to this piece, it was a mix of love and sadness. Great Work x
