Passage

an approximation, nothing more
clutch of fingers
angle of slant, time,
cloth against the skin.

groins, myriad elbows in motion
eyeworlds level with confusion.

|VII| etched deeply in scratched rock,
faux
guano drops about gutter
in subdued scale, almost white
unto ebony
melancholy wraps other
within, untouched-

a faint dampness
crescent of brow
corner of eyes
elbow
thighs,

clothsound

heat.
the appropriate sad town before imagining
prophecy, a name perhaps before
the real sets in.

The small journey of slow ...

in every motion taken, nearer and nearer ... towards the birth of a Motion of Mercy. A name not wanted. And: Man is an island.

Fossilized, the ancient dream were sad before its prophecy.

    "an approximation, nothing more"
LoL...I don't know why, but this strikes me as slightly humorous because of the "nothing more". An approximation isn't exact...so...meh, I'm gonna stop analyzing this line. Suffice to say, melikes mucho!

    "clutch of fingers
    angle of slant, time,
    cloth against the skin."
I think this is the part that Cheryl found dirty? LoL...I think so too?

    "groins"
This might also have made Cheryl think is was dirty. LoL

    "almost white
    unto ebony"
    Love the juxtaposition.

    "crescent of brow"
    Nice use of 'crescent'...'tis cool.

    LOVE the word 'prophecy'...

I have no idea what this is about?
    I liked it...
    C. made me read it!

I swear you make it sound like my mind was in the gutter! All I was saying is that the connotation made it feel dirty, it's my perception when I first read it lol...sheesh!

This here Mr. Lute drips with sensuality lol or it's my dirty mind rearranging those first few stanza's in my minds eye and coming up with 2+2=5 Then as I read on I think about the world slowly collapsing almost like people do when they fall into the helpless in-cognitive state of love only to sit bolt upright and discover it ain't all it's cracked up to be. Going for another read with some think music in the background and an aspirin C
