This Solemn Pact

Missing image

I sit and think
back to the day,
when all my dreams
were thrown away.

Like the clouds
up in the sky,
your heart was free,
and so was I.

How could I stop,
how could I see,
the invisible forces
right in front of me?

I ache, I cry,
I grieve, I weep.
Why is your life the one,
I could not keep?

To mitigate the sorrows
of such a sardonic act
I learn not to love,
by making this solemn pact:

"Love in your life
will mean certain strife"

poor doggy... poor you... I have never known what it feels like to have a pet die... my "best friend" was born the same day I was and is still living. Keep dreaming in ink.
