Breath burning against the back of the throat
I breathe apart from time
Stricken so by this girl I know
Curious chalk drawings upon the floor
Glass ball of shaking
Faking snow
Inhale
Cough
Breath
Take and go
A few scars left by the parting
of both I and this girl I know
Baleful passions
Scratching behind these eyes
Clawing at this heart
Just if the weight of the world were to be upon this chest
This girl I know
does know me best
Greecian Urn be damned
For pale dreams seem and pretend
To be more than they are
Mortal visions of a distant day
the great thief who loves to borrow
Distance
a cowardly
damnable fiend
distance is tomorrow

This is one of the most interesting poems I've read lately. Thanks for entering.

wow this is so heart wrenching, a great style too. I love the pain from this one.
