Do you know what it's,
Like to be so alone?
Your standing in,
A crowded room,
But the silence,
Inside your head,
Fills up the spaces,
You feel as if,
You are on your own,
It's like your separate,
From life itself,
Like your living in a shell.
I wish I could escape,
My cold, empty shell,
Join the world,
But I know that,
I'll hate what's,
Hidden underneath.
When I talk to someone,
My mind isn't in,
That conversation,
As I'm always thinking,
Of something else.
It's like you hide,
A part of yourself,
Away from others,
In a place behind the eyes,
You sit there and,
Watch the world,
But never join in,
And become one of them.
No matter how,
Much you try,
You heart always,
Feels so empty,
And your mind,
Is always,
Out of place,
It's a strange feeling,
To be alone with others,
It's like your living in a shell.

i relate to this a lot i am bipolar and that pretty much describes a lot of feelings it causes -

Very sincerely expressed emotions. I like the title, it reminds me a little of my poem "existence", no offence. -
I can say that I could have related to it if I read it few months before, now I broke free from that 'shell' and it feels so good to be free.
Nice and easy also very true emotions and expressing here, yes, some people are just that alone even when they are among other people they always drew inside themselves and forget to live.
I hope that whoever feels this way breaks free, for it's so sad and it waste the best time of your life.
