Cotton balls of memories
Waiting to be finely spun
Into the threads of my life
Fine strong thread from birth to death
Tightly woven coloured lines
Knots and frays, mistakes once made
Nuances and shades
Instances of pure inspiration
Life …my spinning wheel
Paper …my loom
Shuttlecock …my pen
What to leave out, what to weave in
To inspire dreams
Within the depths of despair
Strength in the face of failure
Striving to be just, honest, and fair
As time passes on, days come and gone
Beloved and unknown relive my memories
Eloquent words, finely spun lines
Through good and bad times
Hung upon the wall
Experiences, mistakes, and memories
In the end, woven, spun, and died
My life's tapestry

A great metaphor, writing as weaving and the interplay and fusion of art and life, confession of faith in the power of this vocation.

"Cotton balls of memories
Waiting to be finely spun
Into the threads of my life"
This for some weird reason reminds me of dust bunnies under my bed!!
LMAO
I loved the last stanza, it was easily the best part of this poem.
