there is no goodbye

Once cocooned in silken wrappings
Now unsheathed, no more trappings
Dancing lightly from bloom to bloom
Heady kisses of nectar and perfume

Painting the air with fluttering wings
Movement in colors-joy that sings
Elegant patterns that swirl in the light
Minute artworks of passion and delight

With beauty and charm and grace endowed
Magically drifting, softly as the clouds
Oh please! come near and teach me how to fly
I will sing with you as we soar through the sky

You, tiny angel, bringing joy on the breeze
As you kiss the flowers and touch the trees
Free as the wind, in majestic beauty so divine
Casting the rainbow as you touch the sunshine

Oh my dear butterfly, do you still remember me?
When I was a child, I followed you near our tree
I still adore you and you know the reason why?
You will always be in my heart-there is no goodbye

    Beautiful!

The descriptiveness, the imagery are perfect. I can see the butterfly flitting and feel the joy that it brings you when you see it. I love how you ask it to teach you how to fly, longing to be as free as the butterfly and majestic.
The rhyme and rhythme of this piece keeps you reading from begining to end without pause, excellent. I look forward to reading more of your work.

I love this romantic poem. I relly love any poem on nature( romantic) The poem says a lot here, but many people may no know. It looks at natural beauty, as portrayed by the beautiful butterfly. The artistic designs engraved on the small but pretty creature is great. I love this really. Really, true love doesn't fade, not even the inevitable time can erase it ,if truly it's true
"Oh my dear butterfly, do you still remember me?
When I was a child, I followed you near our tree
I still adore you and you know the reason why?

This puts me in mind of the situation comparable to how, in a dream, we can hear or see an answer as if coming from someone else. How it's actually from your own truth which is never any further away from you than the questions and yes, always in the heart.
I hear you addressing and asking from an aspect of your own self, which already knows the knowledge which is asked for and has taken this 'flight'.

    A lovely piece of work!
