Blue eyes with your
crystal fixture, tell
me why you're empty-
like broken butterflies
on cobblestones, waiting
to be crushed.
Blue eyes inside shattered
face, explain to me
your cracked-glass past;
windows beckon you
towards the sky to join
the whistles of wind...
Blue eyes clouded with
cocaine dust and fogged
with alcohol- hidden pain
of vanished childhood
surrounded by skeletons of
abuse.
Blue eyes with your
crystal fixture, tell
me why you're so empty-
like tossed coins in
wishing wells, I'll listen
to your secrets.
Throw me all your quarters, mama,
I need to hear some truth.
