I didn’t ask to be brought on to this miserable earth
I was just a sightseer present at my own birth
I learned very young to fight for what I need
Or do without because no one else will intercede
People often tell you what you want to hear
When do you know that they’re really sincere
Don’t ask me how I’m doing just to be polite
You don’t really care for it’s not your life
You give me the shirt right off your back
Then tell everyone you’re cold because of that
If you give some one something from your heart
Nothing need be said about your part
I don’t understand how you smile in my face
When the food from my mouth you tried to take
With backstabbing acquaintances who needs enemies
That’s why my only friends can be numbered as three
I heard of a man called Jesus one day
He changed my heart took my anger away
An attitude adjustment was long overdue
And I’m here to say he’ll do the same for you

Totally awesome and oh so loving and true
Indeed as with me I was afraid to be baptised for years why I could never say .Then one day its as though I heard his voice saying why are you afraid for I know of everything you have ever done upon this earth I know it all and from that moment I knew and wasnt afraid anymore .You have penned a heart touching piece here and I thankyou so much for your poem .
