I'm Sorry

They say not to compare myself with others
That everyone is different, that I'm special,
But how is that even possible? How, when
I'm the only one who can't rise to expectations
Where perfection is standard?

You should hear him play
Hear the way he translates Shakespeare
Hear the way he debates in class
Hear the way he rattles off facts
Hear his perfection.

You should taste her words
Taste the way they roll in your mouth
Taste the sugar, and the sorrow she
Doesn't know about, but write of so eloquently
Taste her perfection.

You should feel her laugh
Feel it as it tickles your stomach
Feel your own urge to cacchinate
Feel her pure sugary joy
Feel her perfection.

You should hear me play
Hear the way the notes scratch all wrong
Hear the way I cry when I'm alone
Hear pitiable grades when compared to his.

You should taste my words
Taste the way they cut tongues when spoken
Taste them, and immediately want to spit
Taste the bitterness, never to be tasted again.

You should feel my laugh
Feel the fake, tinny sound
That makes you want to plug your ears
Feel the hate that chases you away

You should know by now, of my
Imperfection

And, you may guess by now
How sorry I am to trouble you
How sorry I am that I exist

How sorry I am to be me.

    Hello.
Your write is a real write to me, of a person with real emotions, expresse in a real way. I like that. What does "cacchinate" mean?
Don't compare yourself to anybody else, you are your own person, one of a kind with your own gifts and talents. Know yourself, learn more about yourself, and you will find what you are good at and what path is yours. For a start you write well, so thats one straight away.

But my words are secondary, it is for you to love yourself, believe in yourself, and once you do that, no cloud on the outside will ever block the sunshine within yourself. Focus on your positives, focus on what you want to be tomorrow, and not just think of being there, but getting there, for words, thoughts, belief alone is not enough, they must all go together with actions. I wish you well on your journey.

    My regards.

Thank you so much. Cachinnate basically means to laugh.

    sad but your overate this

sad but you under rate yourself and you over rate your situation.

no one is perfect perfection is inevitably impossible
they are as imperfect as you
    mindless zombies to the society
    you, the different one

    dont compare yourself to others.

trust me im 12 and i got bad grades
though im happy i love life and i dont compare myself

dont become a emo/goth cutter or something please
    that saddens me.

So sad Especially when you are such an unusual and quirky kind of kid! Comparisons are somewhat natural I suppose, but they are NOT your defining characteristic!
Sounds like you are going through a rough patch right now and I'm sorry. I'm always here to talk to, rant and rave away BTW, beautifully expressive poem.

Oh you are much too hard on yourself

Over a lifetime our voices change our laughter changes and our knowledge chages as well but within us all we are special in our own ways . A true tribute to this earth we live upon . You would not be you if you were the same as all the others and we will always have someone smarter or prettier or more wealthy its the way of the world .But all our beauty is not seen from the outside its whats within each of us that shows our beauty our knowledge . You see I grew up very poor and in school I was ridiculed and laughed at because we had to share our clothes but I learned they from within were ugly for doing this and no crown in the world or wealth could hide it .Where I was kind and loving and helped everyone about me no matter how they were and by them seeing the beauty I had within I found many lovely friends . Compare yourself not by another compare yourself by the actions you so display and find the joy you hold within and share it everyday .
Once you do this life will become easier to learn and others will be there to help you find your way to the top .
