Today her breathing got bad
She ended up at the Vet
20 ounces of fluid
pressing on her little heart
She has been at the Vet
all day long
But soon she will be
coming home
Only a couple weeks
longer she has to live
So our good byes
we have to give
Shelby is a very loving cat
has been for 13 years
She will be missed
when her day does finally come
Why oh why does this have to happen
so soon after Hobbes passed away
I will never know
But Shelby you are loved until death
my baby girl

Gosh......what a tender soul you have.......God shall not disappoint you......all of your cats are headedto heaven......missing them is going to be the hardest part......be patient....you WILL see Shelby again

This is a very sweet poem. It's always hard to write about something like that, and I relate a lot. I lost my rabbit a few months ago - Its cage was knocked over by a storm and it left a hole in the net, so it ran away, as it must have been very frightened. And the real world isn't a place for a small rabbit, so I'm sure it died.
Anyway, your piece was very sad, but still well written. Good job and good luck! -

awww - that is so sad! such a beautiful cat!! Give her all the love and cuddling you can - it will make her feel better, and you too. it's so heart-breaking when we lose our pets - but if we gave them a happy life, then that what counts. And you'll always treasure her memories and the cute things she did.

it sux that this is happening and i know how much it hurts she had a good life with people who love her alot and maybe its not how long we live but how well and how loved we are that counts more an someday i believe we get reunited with our pets.
